Happy National Pretzel Day!

Soft?  Crunchy?  Stick?  Twist?  There are so many options.  And here's the good news: most of them are vegan!  (If not particularly healthy, made as they almost all are with white flour, salt, and not much else.)



Years ago, when I was involved in a few benefit bake sales at Moo Shoes, the brilliant and lovely Seitan Said Dance made some gourmet pretzels that were out of this world.  Sadly, I don't seem to have any pictures of them.  But intel tells me that the recipe came from the infamous Kittee Berns' iconic cookzine Papa Tofu.  So order your copy today, and get your pretzel on!
