Apricots are, truly, a thing of beauty. I made it well into my twenties before tasting a real, ripe apricot - what a different experience it is from those uber-sweet dried suckers. While dried fruit has its place, it just doesn't compare to the delicate, succulent flesh of the real thing.
only really in season during a narrow window from late spring to early summer, today's celebration will have to be one of a product that uses apricots instead. I'm fond of Whole Soy & Co.'s apricot and mango yogurt - though I do feel they could have left out the mango. Available at your local Whole Foods, and possible Rouse's as well. ;)
