Happy National Apricot Day!

Apricots are, truly, a thing of beauty.  I made it well into my twenties before tasting a real, ripe apricot - what a different experience it is from those uber-sweet dried suckers.  While dried fruit has its place, it just doesn't compare to the delicate, succulent flesh of the real thing.

Given that apricots are only really in season during a narrow window from late spring to early summer, today's celebration will have to be one of a product that uses apricots instead.  I'm fond of Whole Soy & Co.'s apricot and mango yogurt - though I do feel they could have left out the mango.  Available at your local Whole Foods, and possible Rouse's as well.  ;)
